So what's my story for this one?

First off, this group is from the Philippines. Referred to me by, of all people, a Malaysian. He picked up information about this group in prominent music blogs hailing from the US, Canada and other European countries.

Not stereotyping, but heck, we (I, the Malaysian guy and his other Asian friends) can't believe these songs and these guys actually come from Asia, let alone from the Philippines! I mean, don't get me wrong, but don't deny that there's this certain flavor, er sound, Asian tracks seem to exude which make them sound undeniably, well, Asian. For these songs, the vocals and everything else, you would never know it's actually Asian, if at all.

If you listen to the tracks though, they kinda sound like something ripped from the 80's (read: New Order). BUT YOU'VE REALLY GOT TO GIVE THESE GUYS A LISTEN. The rip-off part is really nothing and you'll probably totally forget about it anyway as soon as you hear these.

These guys are new. Why don't you just give them a try and give your pair of ears a new kind of sound to listen to? :)

This has been posted up since last month but was still in draft form after I did. I didn't get to change the status because I had no time. Anyway, tad explaining lest you think I posted this a little tooooo late.

So, another good track from Sino Sikat. More upbeat than their previous track, "So Blue" may have been something you've heard before. But Sino Sikat manages to drop in a little freshness to the track that makes it set itself apart from the rest of those tracks "you've heard before".

Give it a listen and you'll know what I mean.

OPM. Trip Hop. Without sounding as though trying too hard. Rare these days.

I. Freaking. Can't. Stop. Uploading. O_O

If you're into the PS2 game "Guitar Hero II", you would know the first track. I've probably played (as in played with a gamepad) that track there more than 20x times already, hehe.

And, yes, that Polyphonic Spree track is as eccentric as it could get. But it's really lovable, lol.

And again! If these ain't indie, you can still hit me with a broomstick, or maybe a vacuum cleaner for this time.

If you're more into contemporary-ish songs, give the first song a listen. =)

For indie lovers, if it ain't indie, please torture me with a broomstick, thank you.

(Arranged from more upbeat to more mellow... =) )
